Product overview

Rugged moorland turns purple with Calluna vulgaris, the heather that holds out against strong winds. Across that scene the colour spreads beneath stormy skies, and young grouse are raised among the growth. Pre-coloured tufts for model bases, scenic terrain and dioramas are packed together on the blister’s one printed sheet.

  • Height on this sheet is 6 mm.
  • Around 75 tufts provide a mixture of shapes and sizes.
  • Lift individual pieces with tweezers when greater control is needed.
  • A small amount of PVA may be used for a tougher permanent bond.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
