Product overview

The Swallowtail Barbatos Rex Ver. is the Ace Series Swallowtail trigger model Gaahleri produced together with Barbatos Rex, with his signature colour on the grip and its own packaging. It comes with three needle and nozzle sizes: 0.28mm for fine, precise work, and 0.5mm or 0.7mm when you need to cover larger surfaces. The trigger is longer and more curved than before to suit different finger sizes and pulling positions, and the handle has an extended tail that gives your little finger somewhere to rest during small movements.

  • Two mirror-polished paint cups, 1/3 oz and 2/3 oz
  • 8 MAC quick-release nozzle
  • Cutaway window at the rear to balance the weight
  • Spare O-rings and the manual are in the box

Notes · Q & A

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
