Product overview

Flexi Putty is a reusable temporary holding aid for painting and assembly, not a sculpting filler or a substitute for glue. Tear only the amount required from the 75 g block, which measures 7.5 × 16 cm before use. It can mount a miniature to a painting handle, hold arms, heads or weapons for dry-fitting, stop small parts rolling away, support wires and sub-assemblies, test scenery placement or provide a quick masking shape. The material remains soft rather than hardening into a permanent part.

  • Start with clean, dry surfaces, pinch off the piece you need, knead it until smooth and pliable, then shape it and press the parts firmly together.
  • Treat the hold as light and temporary; any paint underneath must be fully cured, not merely touch-dry.
  • Reuse a piece while it remains tacky, replacing it once dust and grit prevent dependable contact.
  • Remove leftover residue by pressing a fresh piece against it and pulling it away.

Notes · Q & A

What is reusable adhesive putty used for on the workbench?

Reusable adhesive putty provides a light, temporary hold for mounting miniatures to painting handles, checking poses through dry-fitting, parking loose parts, supporting wires and testing scenery placement. It can also form a quick mask. Use it when you need reversible positioning without committing to glue; it is neither a sculpting material nor a structural fixing.

Will it mark or damage a painted model or a painted wall?

It can mark a delicate finish or lift paint that has not fully cured. Use it only over cured paint, test a small inconspicuous area first and remove it slowly instead of dragging it across the surface. Porous, fragile or freshly decorated walls and models need particular caution because no temporary putty is risk-free on every finish.

How much weight will it actually hold?

There is no universal holding figure: performance changes with the amount used, contact area, surface texture, contamination, load direction and time. Treat reusable adhesive putty as a light positioning aid, not a structural fixing. If an item could be damaged by falling, use a suitable permanent adhesive or mechanical support instead.

It has stopped sticking — is it finished?

Dust, fibres, paint flakes and grit gradually cover the tacky surface. Kneading may expose cleaner material for a while, and leftover residue can often be lifted by dabbing it with a fresh piece. Once contamination prevents reliable contact, replace the putty rather than trusting it to support a model or component.
