Product overview

MP-05 holds 50 infiltrating colour mixing papers for the MP-01, DSPIAE's wet palette, sold as the alternative top sheet to MP-03. It goes in the same place: pressed flat onto the wet water guiding paper so no air bubbles stay trapped, and you mix paint on top. DSPIAE does not publish how the infiltrating sheet differs from MP-03, so we do not claim a difference. Like all DSPIAE colour mixing paper, a sheet is meant for one session.

  • 50 sheets per pack for the MP-01
  • Top layer, an alternative to MP-03
  • Use with acrylics and other water-based colour, never enamel or lacquer

Notes · Q & A

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
