The AT-PL PRO is DSPIAE's panel line pen: a dip pen with a precisely ground stainless steel nib for running wash into recessed panel lines. Dip it, wipe the excess off on the bottle rim, touch the nib to the line and let the wash flow along it on its own, then lift off and let it dry. Each dip holds plenty of wash, and the nib overflows far less than a fine brush. The aluminium alloy barrel has a hexagonal section so it will not roll off the desk, and the clear black cap opens with one hand.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
