AK Interactive EasyCuting Type 1 is a reusable cutting surface with a laser-carved grid for cutting airbrush masks, vinyl stencils and decals. The board measures 21.5 × 11.5 cm and is 4 mm thick, sized to work alongside a standard cutting mat when preparing masks for camouflage patterns, markings and weathering effects. The laser-carved lines close after each cut, so the surface stays flat and the blade tracks cleanly without dragging on previous cuts.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?+
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?+
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?+
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.

Surprised How Good This Is
I was in need of something better for cutting thin strips of masking tape instead of guessing the width with a straight edge. I saw this and eventually decided to try it out.
I was pleasantly surprised how good this tool is.
You apply the tape and run the knife following along the pre-etched lines and voila! Neatly cut strips of tape ranging from 1.0mm to 0.4mm wide.
