Product overview

When the German army crossed the Russian border in 1941 Hitler expected a short campaign, but the sheer size of the Soviet armies and the stubbornness of their soldiers slowed the advance, and their plain, functional equipment matched the men who used it. The bitter fighting in Finland had cost the Red Army thousands of frostbite casualties, and the padded, quilted cold-weather clothing that followed was envied by German troops in thin greatcoats. This starter army dresses the Soviets in that winter kit: 80 plastic infantry, a KV-1 heavy tank, and a metal HQ of four figures with metal MMG and medium mortar teams, enough for a sizeable Bolt Action force.

  • 80 plastic Soviet infantry in winter clothing
  • KV-1 heavy tank, plastic
  • Soviet HQ, 4 metal figures
  • Supplied unassembled and unpainted
  • MMG and medium mortar teams in metal
