The spring/summer counterpart to AK11625: six 3rd Generation acrylics from AK Interactive's Figure Series for the Waffen-SS Oak Leaf, Palm Tree and Plane Tree patterns in their warm-season variants. The panel prints the ladder — Waffen Spring/Summer Uniform Shadows (Chocolate), Uniform Base (Mud Brown) and Uniform Lights (Light Earth) — and draws the three patterns separately, built with Waffen Light Green (Golden Olive), Waffen Green and Spring/Summer Dark Spots (Black Green). AK says the tones can be mixed further, as they could vary by origin. The panel is painted by Calvin Tan. Six matt acrylics in 17 ml bottles.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
