Violet Wash closes out AK Interactive's Wargame Washes range — thirteen colours, and this is the last of them. The range is aimed at tabletop fantasy and sci-fi, where bold colour pairings still read at arm's length. Brush it into recesses, nooks and contours and it shades and defines them. The colour targets are light violet bases, brown tones and fantasy finishes — and it is the one wash in the range also intended for metallic parts.
More concentrated than a filter, so it defines recesses and contours with a stronger shade.
You can work the effect back and soften it with a clean brush, or one dipped in enamel thinner.
Mix it with other Wargame Washes to build your own custom shades.
Enamel-based: thin it and clean up with enamel thinner.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
