AK2038 Smoke is a dry pigment in a 35 ml jar, intended for weathering aircraft, civil and military models. The ultrafine loose powder can produce controllable matt deposits without introducing an enamel binder. Apply a restrained amount for light smoke effects, or work it with compatible texture materials where more surface variation is needed. Dry and wet methods remain available, depending on how much movement and blending the effect requires.
Brush it on dry for light, adjustable deposition.
Fix the placed powder with Pigment Fixer once the coverage is set.
Wet the powder down with Pigment Fixer, or turn to White Spirit instead.
It can accompany acrylic or enamel products while remaining a dry pigment.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
