AK Interactive Real Colors WWII Luftwaffe Cockpit & Interior Colors contains four lacquer paints for German aircraft cockpits and internal surfaces. The set provides separate 1938 and 1941 reference versions of both RLM 02 and RLM 66, based on samples from the relevant colour charts. RLM 02 also had exterior camouflage applications, making the selection useful beyond cockpit detailing when the aircraft and production period require it.

  • Set contains (4 × 17 ml): RC932 RLM 02 RLM-Grau (1938), RC933 RLM 02 RLM-Grau (1941), RC937 RLM 66 (1938), RC938 RLM 66 (1941)
  • Lacquer-based Real Colors with a soft matt finish, ready for weathering
  • Two chart-based variants each of RLM 02 and RLM 66 (1938 and 1941)
  • Formulated for controlled airbrush application; thin with RC701 or RC702 (or another lacquer-based thinner)

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
