Product overview
Eight matt acrylics covering most of the aircraft used by the Royal Air Force from the mid-1960s onwards. The selection spans the service's modern schemes: the Dark Green / Dark Sea Grey / Light Aircraft Grey tactical scheme adopted in 1965, the wraparound and tactical greys of the decades that followed, the air-defence finish of the Tornado F.3 and Phantom FGR.2 era, the Hemp scheme of the Nimrod and Victor K.2 tanker, and PRU Blue for 1950s and 1960s reconnaissance and overseas-based aircraft. Every colour carries its BS381C reference.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
