Product overview
A six-bottle 3rd Generation acrylic set from AK Interactive's Figure Series for the accessories almost every figure wears: leather straps, belts, pouches and boots, and the buckles, studs and buttons on them. AK describes it as a realistic leather and metal effects colour set for miniature figures from any period. There is no ladder here — the box splits into two jobs instead. Four matt leather tones, of which AK names the dark shade and the highlight outright, cover the leather itself; two metallic paints, a gilt and a natural steel, cover the metal fittings. The panel shows all six at work on three painted figures.
Set contains (6 × 17 ml): Leather Brown, Medium Orange, Leather Highlights (Decomposed Flesh), Leather Dark Shade (Tenebrous Grey), Gilt Metal (Rusty Gold) and Silver & Metal Midtones (Natural Steel)
AK's printed roles: Decomposed Flesh is the leather highlight and Tenebrous Grey the leather dark shade; the gilt and natural steel metallics are for buckles, studs and buttons. AK prints no role for Medium Orange, so none is claimed here
AK11110 Leather Brown is the colour AK prints outside the uniform ladder of its WWI French set — for straps, pouches and boots — and outside the ladder of the WWI British set too, so this box expands on exactly that job; AK11058 also appears in the WWII British set
Four matt leather tones and two metallics, so no single finish describes the box. Made in Spain, and all six colours are stocked by us separately as 17 ml singles

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
