AK Interactive Iraq & Afghanistan contains six 3GEN acrylic paints for modern Iraqi, US, British and German military vehicles used in desert environments. AK describes it as combining the different sandy tones used as base colours by the American, British and New Iraqi armies with the three camouflage colours most commonly used by the German ISAF contingent. Those last three bottles are the complete contents of the smaller Bundeswehr Desert Camouflage Colors set (AK11666).

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
