AK Interactive German Standard Colors 1943-45 contains the three basic camouflage colours used on German army vehicles from the spring of 1943 until the end of the Second World War. RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb provides the base colour, with RAL 6003 Olivgrün and RAL 8017 Rotbraun applied over it for the disruptive patterns of the late-war three-colour system. It is the counterpart to the early-war 37-43 set, covering the period after the German camouflage standard changed.

  • Set contains (3 × 17 ml): AK11318 RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb (Initial), AK11309 RAL 6003 Olivgrün, AK11330 RAL 8017 Rotbraun
  • The late-war three-colour system: Dunkelgelb base with Olivgrün and Rotbraun disruptive patterns

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
