Product overview

Fire Orange provides the AK16012 option within The Inks — Soul of Color. Rather than limiting the 30 ml acrylic ink to direct painting, the formula can be combined with acrylic paint to strengthen a tone and increase its vibrancy. It also works through an airbrush, and its transparency permits further passes over colour already established on a figure.

  • Hand application with a brush is also supported.
  • Its stated lightfastness is the highest.
  • Added polymers and additives promote pigment cohesion, resistance and drying.
  • It is packaged in a clear dropper bottle fitted with a pipette cap.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Do I need a primer?
