AK Interactive Blue Essential Colors Set contains six matt 3rd Generation acrylics for applying blue finishes to figures and accessories. The selection combines grey-blue, turquoise, sky and deeper blue tones with two Russian Blue modulation colours. The paints can be mixed to create controlled transitions between highlights and shadows. AK states that they provide high coverage and adhesion for brush application and can be airbrushed after dilution.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
