Product overview

The Afrika Korps Filter is a 35 ml enamel filter — a light sandy-brown tint that shifts a vehicle's base tone rather than covering it. Shake it and brush it straight from the bottle with a flat brush over monotone camouflage, and it warms and enriches Afrika Korps sand shades into something more authentic; it suits modern sand and light schemes too. Build it in thin layers with drying time between each — the more layers, the stronger the shift — and clean or dilute it with White Spirit.

  • Adds subtle tonal variation and depth to monotone sand and light camouflage.
  • Applied straight from the bottle with a flat brush, or thinned with White Spirit for a gentler effect.
  • Dries slowly, so it stays workable, and excess lifts with a White-Spirit-dampened brush.
  • Can double as a light wash for subtle dust effects.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
