AK Interactive Afrika Korps Colors 1941-43 contains six 3GEN acrylic paints for German Afrika Korps vehicles used in North Africa from early 1941 to May 1943. It covers the initial overall RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau finish, the RAL 8000 Gelbbraun and RAL 7008 Graugrün scheme introduced in 1941, and the later RAL 8020 Braun and RAL 7027 Grau combination adopted in 1942. RAL 1001 Elfenbein is included for vehicle interiors.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
