AK Interactive's Materials Ink Set groups three acrylic inks for the colours that turn up on figure accessories and materials. Wood Brown, Camo Green and Intense Sienna come in 30 ml dropper bottles and mix with acrylic paints for vibrant, saturated shades. AK names the group himself: a wood colour, a green camouflage clothing colour, and sienna as a very versatile one. He describes the range as giving smooth transitions and intense finishes.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
