AK9002 replaces the 0.3 mm nozzle fitted to the AK9000 airbrush. The nozzle is the small cone at the front of the head where the needle tip seats and paint atomises into the air stream. A nozzle that has chipped, split or accumulated dried paint around its bore will produce inconsistent spray and poor atomisation. This spare is sold singly on a header card identifying the airbrush it serves.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?
