Abteilung 502 Raw Umber / Industrial Earth is an artist oil for adjusting light and dark colours and developing earth-toned weathering effects. AK Interactive recommends it for darkening lighter colours, lightening darker colours and creating washes, filters and other effects through combinations with different earth shades. Its PY42 and PBk11 pigment mix provides a neutral brown-grey earth tone, while the reduced-oil ABT502 formula is designed to produce more matt finishes and controlled blending.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Do I need a primer?
