Abteilung 502 Purple is an artist oil positioned between red and blue. AK Interactive describes the shade technically as a dark magenta lying between violet and crimson, but the official product name remains Purple. It is intended for introducing colour variation into clothing and figures painted over red or blue bases and for developing intermediate tones between those colour families. The reduced-oil ABT502 formula supports more matt finishes and controlled blending.
20 ml tube, single artist oil colour (AK code AKABT620; former code ABT620)

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
