Abteilung 502 Aircraft Effects Set contains six artist oils selected to add depth, contrast and colour intensity to aircraft models. AK Interactive positions the set primarily for aircraft modellers, while noting that the colours can also be used in other areas of scale modelling. Their coverage and blendability allow gradual tonal variation across camouflage, panels and weathered surfaces. Each colour is supplied in a separate 20 ml oil paint tube.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Do I need a primer?
