The placement of our model in a diorama or vignette gives it a reality, a background and a history, an added dimension and a reason for the humidity, the traces of mud, of the dry sand of the desert or the dark earth of the wooded landscapes of central Europe. The range of Diorama FX offers the modeler everything needed for the reproduction of a terrain, with effects of sandy and dusty roads, or of snow, mud and water, all of which add to the realism of the setting and relate the model to its environment.
Safety: Diorama FX is not flammable, and does not contain solvents. Please see also certified safety information of the product on the Safety sheet.
Packaging: Available in 200 ml/6.76 fl oz bottles and 35 ml/1.18 fl oz pots.
Applications: Still Water is a glass clear liquid which levels itself, even on irregular surfaces, to reproduce the effect of transparent still water. Apply in several fine layers of no more than 3 mm thickness to prevent cracks or bubbles in the drying process.
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
