Vallejo Wild Tuft Dry SC425 contains 17 self-adhesive Extra Large tufts measuring 12mm high. The Dry colour is suited to parched landscapes, dead grass and neglected ground around dusty tracks or ruins. These tall tufts give isolated clumps the profile of coarse, unmanaged vegetation. Position them individually or combine several into a dense patch, then reinforce them with PVA glue where the underlying base texture requires a stronger permanent bond.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?
That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.
Are tufts self-adhesive?
Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.
How do I apply static grass?
Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
