Product Information

This Plastic Scriber II is ideal for cutting thick plastic boards, adding detail to plastic scale models, and opening holes to modify Mini 4WD bodies.

The Tamiya original tungsten steel narrow blade enables you easy access to hard-to-reach places.

The blade can be safely retracted inside when not in use. Two interchangeable spare blades are included.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
