The Rosemary & Co Eradicator is a stiff synthetic brush designed specifically for lifting colour and correcting mistakes in watercolour painting. Where other brushes apply paint, the Eradicator removes it — scrubbing gently into dried watercolour washes to lift pigment and create highlights, corrections, or light effects.
Every watercolourist makes mistakes, and having a dedicated lifting brush is far more effective than trying to scrub with a painting brush. The Eradicator's stiff fibres are designed to agitate dried pigment without tearing the paper, making corrections cleaner and more controlled. It is also used creatively for lifting highlights, cloud effects, and light patterns.

Belly Diameter
The widest point of the brush head. On round brushes, this is the widest part of the belly.

The full measurement from the tip of the brush to the end of the handle.
How to care for your brush
Rinse thoroughly after lifting sessions — the stiff fibres can trap lifted pigment. Clean with brush soap. The bristles are designed to be stiff and will not soften with use. Replace if the fibres become damaged from heavy use. Store normally.
