- Tuft Length
- The visible length of the brush hairs, measured from the ferrule to the tip.
- Belly Diameter
- The widest point of the brush head. On round brushes, this is the widest part of the belly.
- Total Length
- The full measurement from the tip of the brush to the end of the handle.
How to care for your brush
Because these are synthetic brushes, care is simple and forgiving. Acrylic should be rinsed out promptly before it cures, and warmer water is acceptable as long as it is not hot. Clean the brushes with soap if needed, reshape the points and flats, and let them dry fully before storage. Avoid letting paint sit deep in the ferrule, since that is what shortens brush life fastest. Store them in a brush roll, case, or upright holder with the tips protected so the pointed rounds and rigger stay sharp.
