Monument Hobbies Pro Acryl Transparent is a set of nine colours with variable opacity, designed for filtering over base coats on miniatures and models. Applied over a different colour they shift the hue beneath; applied over a matching base they intensify it. They can be thinned further for lighter effects or used at full strength for bolder colour shifts. Monument Hobbies describes them as distinct from washes and inks — they behave like standard acrylic paint but with inherent transparency straight from the bottle.

Can be mixed with Pro Acryl Metallic Medium to create custom metallic colours without reducing the metallic shine.
Intermixable with all other Pro Acryl colours and compatible with brush or airbrush.
Each bottle contains a 5 mm laboratory-grade glass agitator — inert and rust-free.
Non-toxic, conforms to ASTM D-4236. Made in the USA.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
