Product Information
🦋 Swallowtail Studio G Ver.
Ace Series · Trigger‑Style · 3 Nozzles (0.28/0.5/0.7) · Dual Mirror Cups
🔍 What Is This?
A trigger‑style airbrush with three nozzle/needle sets (0.28 fine detail, 0.5 all‑round, 0.7 heavy coverage), two mirror‑polished cups (10 + 20 ml), and Swallowtail ergonomic handle with pinky rest. StudioG collaboration. Three airbrushes in one box.
👤 Who Is It For?
✅ Great fit
Hobbyists wanting one trigger airbrush for everything — freehand on minis to priming terrain. Especially good for long sessions (army painting, large kits, dioramas).
⚠️ Less ideal
For extreme sub‑0.2 mm precision, a dedicated fine‑line airbrush has the edge. If you exclusively prefer top‑lever, this is trigger‑only.
⚖️ Three Nozzles, Full Range
| 🔬 0.28 | 🎯 0.5 | 🔨 0.7 | |
| Fine lines | ✅ Excellent | Moderate | No |
| Coverage | Slow | ✅ Good | ✅ Very fast |
| Best for | Freehand, edges, minis | Camo, shading, general | Terrain, primers, varnish |
💡 All three sets included. Self‑centering drop‑in nozzle.
🛠️ Key Features
| 🔫 Redesigned Trigger | Longer arc, wider curve — fits different finger sizes. Less fatigue than standard triggers. |
| 🦋 Swallowtail Handle | Extended tail with pinky rest — your small finger supports the airbrush, wrist stays relaxed for micro‑movements. |
| 🪞 Mirror Cups | 10 ml + 20 ml, both mirror‑polished. Paint slides out during flushing — faster colour swaps. |
| 👁️ Cutaway Window | Rear opening — optimises weight + visual access to needle without disassembly. |

⚠️ Honest Heads‑Up
• Trigger adaptation from top‑lever. Most prefer it after a few sessions.
• 0.28 mm ≠ 0.2 mm — very capable for detail, not extreme micro‑precision.
• Three sets = more parts to store, clean, and not lose. Keep a labelled case.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
