0.35mm Airbrush Needle

Part 40454 · GHAD-39 & GHAD-68 · Multi-Polish OEM

📐 0.35mm 🏷️ Part 40454 ✅ GHAD-39 · GHAD-68 ✨ Multi-Polish

✅ GHAD-39 · GHAD-68 (Advanced Series) only — does not fit Ace or Premium Series

What Is This?

OEM 0.35mm replacement needle — the stock size on the GHAD-39. Narrow enough for panel lines, pre-shading, and miniature work; enough flow for blending and small base coat passes. Multiple polishing stages produce an extremely smooth taper for clean, consistent paint release.

Where 0.35mm Sits

Size Best For
0.2–0.3mm Ultra-fine lines, extreme detail
0.35mm ← you are here Panel lines, pre-shading, miniatures
0.5mm Primers, base coats, clear coats

Best For

✔️ Freehand panel lining — scale models, vehicles

✔️ Pre-shading and edge highlighting

✔️ Camouflage soft edges and blending

✔️ Miniature painting — NMM, skin, OSL

✔️ Weathering — streaks, chipping, dust at close range

When to Replace

⚠️ Tip blunt — spatter or uneven spray

⚠️ Bent — asymmetric pattern

⚠️ Surface scratches — intermittent paint flow

🔄 Every 50–100h, or when replacing nozzle

⚠️ Heads Up

Advanced Series only — GHAD-39 and GHAD-68.

Always replace needle and nozzle as a matched pair. A 0.35mm needle requires a 0.35mm nozzle.

Hobby Heaven

By Hobbyists. For Hobbyists.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
