Product overview

Phoenix Plume is DSPIAE's set of light red handles on one body: long, triangular in section for balance, with a black PP grip and a clear cap. PT-PL is a panel line marker with a stainless steel nib that draws wash into the groove. PT-FB takes DSPIAE's fine detailing tips, held by a spring inside the grip, and PT-TB takes his broad painting tips, which push straight in. A numbered sticker marks which tip is fitted.

  • PT-PL: marker handle and one stainless steel nib; spare nibs PLN-01
  • PT-FB: handle and sticker; tips FBT-2/0 to FBT-5/0 sold separately
  • PT-TB: handle and sticker; tips FBT-E01, E02, U01 and U02 sold separately
  • 182 × 14 mm, 12 g with cap, 6.7 g without
  • Recap after use; not for children under 14

Notes · Q & A

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
