AK Interactive Inferno and Red Creatures contains six matt 3rd Generation acrylic colours for red-skinned fantasy figures and infernal subjects. The selection runs from deep and burnt reds through cadmium red, light orange and volcanic yellow, allowing shaded red finishes and hotter highlight transitions to be mixed within one palette. The paints provide the coverage and adhesion of the 3GEN range for brush work and can also be airbrushed after thinning.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
