Five-layer cutting mat made from recycled PVC.
3mm thick. Two soft outer layers and a hard white inner layer. Thanks to the self-healing properties, superficial cuts tend to close over time.
Printed with two different patterns, one for each side.
Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
