Product overview

Replacement hydration sponges for the Vallejo Wet Palette PRO Painter Size (B90001). Pack of two reusable sponges in high-density white PVA foam, 3 mm thick, cut to 220 × 140 mm. The sponge holds water and releases it steadily to the moisture paper above for even, lasting hydration. White colour preserves accurate perception of paint colours through translucent papers. Rinse after use and replace when the sponge loses its spring or picks up too much pigment.

Notes · Q & A

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
