Vallejo Surface Primer Chainmail Silver is a water-based polyurethane primer for preparing scale models and miniatures before painting. It can be used on resin, PVC, brass, white metal and wood, helping later paint layers adhere while preserving fine surface detail. Supplied in a 17 ml dropper bottle.

Apply by brush or airbrush.
For airbrushing, Vallejo recommends around 15–20 PSI / 0.5–1 kg.
Can be diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver.
Dries quickly and forms a homogeneous, resistant film within a few hours.
Non-flammable and contains no solvents.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
