Scale75 Flesh SSE-003 groups eight ScaleColor acrylics for painting faces and exposed skin on miniatures and figures. The sequence runs from pale and light tones through warmer mid-tones to three deeper shadow colours, providing a defined palette for building skin transitions. What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.

Scale 75 at its best
Scale 75 paints aren't cheap, but their sets make exception. 8 pots for 20 quids is really good value.
Know what you get into, this is classic Scale 75.
Very fluid gel medium, very fine pigment that spreads uniformly even if you thin, incredibly matt. If you like that, and I do, this set is perfect.
Also in true Scale 75 style the colour choice is perfect. This is literally all you need to paint any skin tone from the darkest to the fairest.
