The Snowdrop is Rosemary & Co's white taklon range — a synthetic developed over a long stretch of sampling to land on exactly the right blend of filament diameters. It was originally worked up in collaboration with watercolourist Vladislav Yeliseyev, and the pointed rounds are the heart of the family.
The points are sharp and cleanly tapered. They flow paint willingly — enough pigment to keep a wash moving, while still pulling a tight, controlled stroke when you need one. That combination makes them a genuine favourite for drawing, architectural work and illustration, as well as everyday watercolour painting.
They are most loved by watercolourists, but they hold up equally well in acrylics, oils, water-mixable oils and gouache. Fully synthetic and vegan friendly.
What makes this brush special
Sharp, cleanly tapered point with excellent snap. White taklon filament flows paint willingly for washes, then pulls a tight, controlled stroke for fine lines. Returns to a point wash after wash. 100% synthetic and vegan — no animal hair, easy to clean, and kinder on the wallet than natural sable.

- Tuft Length
- The visible length of the brush hairs, measured from the ferrule to the tip.
- Belly Diameter
- The widest point of the brush head. On round brushes, this is the widest part of the belly.
- Total Length
- The full measurement from the tip of the brush to the end of the handle.
How to care for your brush
Rinse thoroughly after use, reshape the point and dry flat or tip-down. Don't leave standing in the water pot. Let the snap of the taklon do the work — light pressure keeps the point sharp for lines; more load opens it out for a wash.
