A large landscape-focused watercolour set combining rounds, flats, texture tools, fans, and wash brushes for varied outdoor painting.
This is the most expansive of the Rosemary & Co landscape-style sets, and it reads like a complete field kit for painters who work in broad watercolour passages and layered outdoor scenes. The repeated 401 rounds, 771 riggers, 302 short flats, 2230 combers, Ivory brushes, and 2055 Chungking fans create a strong balance of detail, texture, and coverage. The inclusion of the badger fan and tree-and-texture brush underlines its landscape purpose, giving the painter tools for foliage, grasses, tree shapes, and atmospheric effects.
The set is ideal for artists who paint skies, hedgerows, trees, water, and layered terrain, where a single brush shape is rarely enough. The combination of softer and stiffer brushes helps with both controlled edges and expressive texture work. It also offers practical value because the set assembles a full landscape vocabulary in one purchase. For plein air painters and watercolour enthusiasts, that is often more useful than collecting disparate brushes separately.
What makes this brush special
This set should feel varied but coherent, with each brush type serving a clear role. Natural-hair brushes bring flow and absorbency, while the synthetic or mixed components add resilience and sharper mark-making. Handles are short and suited to portable work, and the overall construction should feel handmade, dependable, and comfortable in the hand. The presence of fans and texture brushes gives the set a more specialist, painterly character than a general starter kit.

How to care for your brush
Because this set includes multiple fibre types and texture shapes, careful washing matters. Clean natural brushes like the 401s, riggers, fans, and wash tools with cool water and mild soap, then reshape them gently so the points and fans dry correctly. The Ivory synthetic brushes are tougher and easier to maintain, but they still should not be left with paint drying in the ferrule. Combers and texture brushes are best rinsed thoroughly to prevent pigment build-up near the base. Store the set flat or in a brush roll so fans and flats do not get crushed.
