Magic Sculpt is a fine-grained two-part sculpting putty made by Wesco Enterprises in the United States. It is intended for modellers, crafters and sculptors who want a smooth material that can be shaped by hand or tools and refined with water. Measure equal amounts of the greenish hardener and light grey resin by volume, mix to a uniform colour and shape it at room temperature. The material cures chemically rather than by air-drying, does not shrink or crack, and can be sanded, carved, painted or worked with a rotary tool after hardening.
Measure the two components equally by volume rather than by weight.
Talcum powder can be used to reduce sticking to the hands while the components are being mixed.
Fresh material can be added to previously cured Magic Sculpt and blended with water.
Its working behaviour varies with the temperature of the room rather than following a fixed schedule.
Before applying it to plastic, Wesco recommends adding a key with a suitable glue layer or drilled capture holes; without that preparation, the cured putty may break away.
The pack contains separate 100 g resin and 100 g hardener tins marked Made in USA.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between Green Stuff and Milliput-type putties?+
Green Stuff is flexible and springy, holding fine sculpted detail like cloth and cabling. Milliput-type putties are harder-setting and sand smooth once cured, which makes them better for gap-filling and surfaces you want to blend flat. Many sculptors mix the two.
How do I stop epoxy putty sticking to my tools and fingers?+
Keep a little water on the tool and your fingertips as a release; the putty won't grab a wet surface. Work in good light and let very tacky putty firm up for a few minutes before shaping fine detail.
How do I get the mixing ratio right?+
Most epoxy putties cure at a 1:1 mix of the two parts by volume, kneaded until the colour is fully even with no streaks. Under-mixing leaves soft patches that never fully harden, so mix longer than feels necessary.
How do I fill a seam gap cleanly without losing nearby detail?+
Press a small amount of putty into the gap, then wipe the excess back with a wet tool or a cotton bud before it cures, leaving putty only in the recess. Cleaning up wet saves sanding over detail later.
