Product overview
Iwata Lube is the lubricant Anest Iwata supplies for keeping an airbrush's moving parts working smoothly, and it suits any make of airbrush, not only Iwata's own. Put a little on the main lever, the needle packing and the valve-piston packing; drawn along the needle and inside the needle cap, it helps the paint flow and stops the tip from drying. The tube is marked non-toxic and silicone-free. The reformulated lube is clear, does not evaporate and keeps its viscosity in any working environment. Keep silicone-based lubricants away from the trigger and the air valve. This is the larger 10ml tube.
- 10ml (0.34 fl oz) tube
- Non-toxic, silicone-free
- For every moving part of the airbrush
- Clear formula that does not evaporate
Notes · Q & A
What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
