Iwata's own 0.4mm fluid nozzle for the Revolution M2, the size its whole head is built around. Take a nozzle out only once it is actually damaged: cleaning the airbrush thoroughly after use is what keeps it from clogging, so a sound one never needs removing. The part is small and finely engineered, and cross-threading or overtightening ruins it quickly. Use an Iwata Nozzle Wrench (sold separately) instead of the basic spanner in the airbrush box, so you get the right angle and torque without forcing it.

Notes · Q & A
What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?+
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?+
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?+
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
