A detail airbrush from Iwata's High Performance Plus series, the line descended from the HP airbrushes that made the Iwata name more than fifty years ago. The 0.2mm H2 nozzle takes it from a hairline to roughly 20mm, and the small 1.5ml gravity cup suits the little amounts of paint that fine work on figures and miniatures uses. The pre-set handle lets you fix the maximum spray output, which keeps your control consistent and eases finger fatigue; it is also cut away, so the needle can be drawn back to flush the cup quickly. Spray it at 15–25 psi.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
