Your miniature's base sits on top of the Hero Base. Check your model's current base size (printed on underside or check your army's system rules), then order the matching Hero Base in your preferred height. Common examples: Old World infantry = 20mm or 25mm square, cavalry = 25x50mm rectangle.

You will see layer lines – this is FDM technology, not a defect. One coat of primer hides 80-90% of texture. Most painters texture their bases anyway, and FDM surface helps paint adhesion. Square and rectangle bases have minimal seam lines due to printing geometry – better than round bases.

Every Hero Base has a 3mm gap underneath. By default, it's covered with easy-remove supports for a flat bottom.
Flat bottom (default): Use as-is. Sits flat on tables, cabinets, display boards.
Magnet-ready: Remove supports with hobby knife, insert 3mm disc magnet, superglue. Now sticks to metal trays for transport safety. Perfect for protecting dioramas and ranked units during transport.
Recommended: 3mm diameter × 1-2mm thick neodymium disc magnets.

❓ Quick FAQ
Can I game with these?
Yes. Step, Rise, Ascend are designed for tabletop. Square bases work perfectly for ranked systems. Higher tiers better for display but technically game-legal for casual play.
Will layer lines show after priming?
Barely. One primer coat hides 80-90%. For glass-smooth: prime → light sand → prime again (2 minutes). Square/rectangle have even fewer seam lines than round bases.
Do I glue my miniature to it?
No. Your miniature stays on its standard base. That base sits on top of the Hero Base. Lift off to game, put back to display. For dioramas, you can glue permanently if desired.
What about seam lines on square bases?
Square and rectangle bases have minimal seam lines compared to round bases. The printing geometry creates cleaner edges. Most painters report no visible seam after priming.
Can I build dioramas directly on these?
Absolutely. Rectangle Hero Bases are perfect for multi-model scenes. Build your diorama, then place the entire thing on different height tiers for different occasions.
Do these work for movement trays?
Yes and no. Individual models can be elevated, but entire movement trays won't fit on Hero Bases. Best used for characters, champions, or individual display pieces from ranked units.
