Mud Textures Set 11279 contains four 30 ml acrylic pastes for reproducing wet, churned and eroded ground on miniature bases, vehicles and dioramas. The black, swamp, green and dark-brown variants provide separate starting tones for bogs, rutted tracks, trenches, ruins and rural landscapes. Unlike the sand and hard-surface selection in set 11275, this set is centred specifically on mud effects.

  • Includes 2784 Black Mud, 2785 Swamp Mud, 2786 Green Mud and 2787 Dark Brown Mud.
  • Intended for muddy paths, trenches, vehicle bases and war-damaged terrain.
  • Drying time varies from 5 to 30 minutes according to layer thickness.
  • The water-soluble formulation allows tools to be cleaned with water.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Do I need a primer?
