Product overview

The Mobius SP is the siphon-feed member of Gaahleri's Premium Series: paint is drawn up from a 1 oz (30ml) glass bottle with a metal cap, so changing colour is a matter of swapping bottles. It comes with two calibres, 0.3mm for finer work and 0.5mm for broad, even coverage. Gaahleri rate it to run from 15 PSI, against the 20 PSI or more they quote for other brands, which suits small compressors. The air valve is angled so your hand stays clear of the bottle.

  • 0.3mm needle and nozzle fitted, 0.5mm needle and nozzle supplied
  • Spiral "MAC" nozzle for steady airflow at low pressure
  • Anodised aluminium handle in Gaahleri's blue-purple
  • Main lever with a thicker front and a small rear step for finger control
  • Spare O-rings and the instruction manual

Notes · Q & A

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
