Product overview

The GHAD-39 is the most affordable airbrush in Gaahleri's range and the one it built with beginners in mind. In the box are two needle and nozzle pairs, 0.35 mm for fine work and 0.5 mm for broad surfaces, both on a self-centering quick-release nozzle with 8 micro air channels. Two detachable gravity cups, 1/2 oz and 1/4 oz, swap over to suit the job, and their smooth inner surface makes cleaning quicker. A cutaway window in the handle gives access to the needle chucking nut and helps balance the weight. Spare 0.35 mm and 0.5 mm needles for the GHAD-39 are sold separately.

Notes · Q & A

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
