Product overview

The T1 PRO Glutton is DSPIAE's bench dust collector for sanding: set it behind your work and its brushless fan pulls the dust into a HEPA filter core. Air speed adjusts steplessly up to 5.7 m/s, at about 65 dB, and a ring light shows the setting. The light also gives white light of 4000–6000 K at any brightness for checking surfaces. Fan and light can be set from the DSPIAE Hub app. It does not catch paint mist; never use it as a spray booth.

  • Clean the filter every 120 minutes of continuous work; replace it after 60 days of use
  • Comes apart for cleaning; brush and cloth included
  • 12 V supply with four plug adapters
  • 266 × 187.5 × 170.5 mm, 1360 g
  • Keep under-14s and fingers away from the fan; some photos show the earlier T1

Notes · Q & A

What's the difference between a needle file and a sanding stick?

Needle files are steel, cut faster and hold their shape for tight spots and metal. Sanding sticks are foam or paper-backed abrasive, kinder to plastic and better for smoothing broad, flat surfaces without gouging.

Which grit should I start with on mould lines?

For plastic, start around 400 grit to knock the line back, then refine with 600–800. Coarser than 400 leaves scratches you then have to chase out, so only go lower for resin flash or heavy work.

Should I file wet or dry?

Wet sanding with a drop of water reduces dust and clogging and gives a finer finish, which matters on resin where the dust is best not inhaled. Dry filing is fine for quick metal work and steel needle files.

How do I stop a file clogging with plastic or resin?

Brush it out with a stiff brass brush along the cut direction. For sanding sticks, tap them clean often. Clogged abrasive stops cutting and starts burnishing, which just polishes the high spots rather than removing them.
