The DSPIAE AT-MV is a pocket vise for tiny parts and modellers who need a compact holder directly beside the work. It is one solid block with two jaws closed by a knurled screw, so there is no pedestal or rotating assembly to position. Its square form also gives the tool a second role during controlled sanding.
Overall size is 27 × 25 × 47.5 mm.
Solid stainless steel construction wears substantially less than the aluminium vises beside it.
Slotted jaws locate miniature parts before the screw is tightened.
Ground faces remain flat and square, forming a datum that you can sand against.
Holes in the jaw faces accept thin steel rods covered with clear silicone tubing.

Notes · Q & A
Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?+
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?+
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?+
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
